About IPATH
History
The International Professional Association for Transport & Health (IPATH) was created October 2016, in an effort to bring together a diverse group of professionals working at the intersection of transport and health. Many of the initial members had been delegates of the inaugural International Conference on Transport & Health (ICTH) 2015-London.

Board of Directors
IPATH began with a small Board of Directors (BOD) focused on setting up the administrative and operational regulatory documents needed to serve as the structural foundation of the organization. This board worked on several communication and marketing efforts, in addition to becoming actively involved with ICTH. Several of the original board members continued for a second two-year term in 2018, to assist with organic growth. As a result, the decision was made to submit the legal paperwork to convert IPATH to a nonprofit entity. This process was completed and approved by the state of Michigan, May 2020. However, due to US federal governmental backlog, IPATH did not become a recognized 501(c)(3) until August 2022.
Catapulting IPATH into 2024
As the IPATH Board heads into 2024, there is renewed energy to fully develop collaborative partnerships, member services and financial solvency of the organization. These goals are reflected in the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan Overview.
